March and April are widely considered the "Golden Window" for diving in the Maldives. With the northeast monsoon in full swing, you can expect "polished glass" sea conditions, blue skies, and underwater visibility that can reach a staggering 30 meters (100 feet).

Liveaboard diving in the Maldives is a must-do for every avid scuba diver. A dreamy tropical oasis above and below, the Maldives atoll offers world-class diving experiences wowing with an abundance of marine life and spectacular coral reefs. Made up of nearly 1,200 islands, the inner and outer reefs are a haven for wildlife. Scuba divers will have the opportunity to see congregating sharks, manta rays, and whale sharks – year-round. As well as marvel at the unique underwater pinnacles and thila.
Trip Highlights: The Ultimate Pelagic Playground
- Diving: Up to 4 dives daily from a dhoni (tender).
- Manta Ray Madness: We’ll visit legendary cleaning stations in the Central Atolls where Manta Rays congregate in massive numbers to be serviced by cleaner wrasse.
- Whale Shark Encounters: South Ari Atoll is world-famous for year-round whale shark sightings. Imagine snorkeling or diving alongside these gentle giants in the warm, turquoise water.
- Thrilling Channel Dives: Experience the "Maldives rush" with exhilarating drift dives through channels (kandus), where grey reef sharks, eagle rays, and schooling barracuda patrol the currents.
- Luxury on the Water: Relax between dives on a premium liveaboard vessel featuring chef-prepared meals, spacious sun decks for those famous Maldivian sunsets, and a dedicated dhoni (diving tender) for easy entries and exits.
- Island Hopping: Enjoy a traditional Maldivian beach BBQ on a deserted white-sand "picnic island," surrounded by nothing but the sound of the waves.
