Pack your bags for East Texas! On Sunday, July 19, 2026, Sport Divers of Houston is heading to the "Caribbean of Texas"—Athens Scuba Park.

In the peak of the Texas summer, there’s no better place to be than this spring-fed quarry. With its bright blue water and incredible visibility, it feels more like a tropical resort than a freshwater lake.

Athens Scuba Park is legendary for its massive collection of sunken "Easter eggs." It’s a literal playground for divers where you can navigate from one iconic wreck to another:

• The Lockheed C-140 Jetstar: A massive military transport jet that you can actually swim through.

• The "Dirty Dozen" Houseboat: A three-deck houseboat used by Clint Eastwood’s film crew.

• Ray Price’s Tour Bus: Pull yourself through the cabin of the famous country singer's first tour bus.

• The Scavenger Hunt: Discover a sunken Cessna, a DART city bus, a motorcycle, and even a grand piano!
