Underwater photography has some challenges not found on land, but with the SSI Photo & Video specialty program, you will soon learn how to capture your amazing underwater experiences.
This program provides the in-depth knowledge you need to dive with an underwater camera and properly use, maintain and store your equipment. You will develop your skills and learn techniques to take underwater images and video safely and easily, plus perfect your diving abilities while using your underwater camera system.

NOTE: Excellent buoyancy is the foundation of safe, comfortable, and environmentally responsible diving. Required gear for the course:
A complete Total Diving System.
An underwater digital camera designed for scuba diving, or a camera with underwater housing rated for scuba diving, or cellphone with underwater housing rated for scuba diving. Recommended but not required, lights, arms with tray, and depending on your camera setup, you might also need a "red filter". A lanyard to attach the camera to your BCD.
Cameras, lights, trays, and lanyards are avaliable for purchase.
